Around 2 pm this afternoon, Entergy restored power to our datacenter in New Orleans. During the switchover from generator back to building power, we lost power in a few of our racks. This caused most of our web and email services to go down. (Kind of ironic that we didn't go down at all during or immediately following the hurricane, but we do when the power comes back on. Go figure....)
Power has been restored to the entire datacenter and most of our services should be back up and running. We are still having problems with a couple of our mail servers, but should those issues resolved shortly.
I have also been informed of a fiber cut that is affecting all of our customers in the North Shore area on Louisiana. BellSouth is working on repairing the fiber, but we were given no ETA. I'll let you know as soon as I know.
There have also been some reports of PPPoE authentication failing in some areas. We are looking into that problem as well.

Me!
Please extend my appreciation to everyone who was involved in the restoration of service effort for all of
the Datasync/I-55 customers.
May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob through his Son, Jesus Christ richly bless each of you!
