i-55 Network Status UPDATE

Here is the current state of the i-55 network....

Dialup has been restored to all of our service areas. You may find yourself trying to connect more than once due to the overloaded voice networks. We apologize for this; however, it is something that is out of our control. BellSouth is working to increase capacity on their voice networks and hopefully this won't be a problem for too much longer.

DSL service has been restored to our Louisiana and Alabama customers.

DSL service in Mississippi is still experiencing some issues. Our long haul provider is still working on their network. We are working on an alternative for restoring service to our Mississippi DSL customers.

I will keep providing updates for our Mississippi customers as I get them.

email had been working for me throughout the storm and recovery. But today, email stopped and apparently I-55 and datasync public servers went down for a while. After they came back up, my email access went away. My virtual web server has been empty of pages since the storm. (videcomp.com) I understand you guys have a lot on your hands, but since there is no other way to get in touch, I thought I might try this.

Your site should be back up. During the switch from generator to building power, we lost power to a couple of our backend storage devices. They are all back up now.

Email access should be restored as well.

I just spoke to I-55 tech support. All their servers are down at the moment, so basically nothing can be done, until they are back up. (and much may fix itself - we hope). Anyway they are doing what they can. We appreciate it.

We lost power to part of our datacenter during the process of switching from generator back to building power. Most services should be back up. We are working on the last few right now.
